About Me

Hi!
My name is Danielle Garza and I'm currently a freshman at the Manoa campus. I work on campus as a Fire Safety Inspector, and am an aspiring videographer. I've always been a little slow with social media, thus what brings me here.

I don't personally have any positive nor negative experience with it. It has kept me connected with people throughout my life, but only on the surface level. I have this opinion that social media can be extremely harmful or helpful. Helpful in the way of being "connected"; harmful in the way of us being distracted. Social media is a constant stream of information, rather it be true or false. It feeds out entertainment, politics, religion, and overall just a plethora of data. I have no problem with what it does, seeing as it is pretty much a necessity of our society now; which really is okay! It has its pro's and con's; as with everything in life. I'm gracious to be neutral with something so controversial in our society today.

I will always be willing to give as well as receive feedback; in this community especially. I am looking forward to working with a group of openminded individuals ready to learn more about how we interact in our daily lives. I am willing to be vulnerable in order to learn as well as have fun during this course.

I'm super excited to see what I'll learn and what kind of connections we'll all make!
